Work in Progress – Portrait Sketches + Digital Color Test

Capturing the soul of a character through pencil lines, then reshaping it with digital tones.

Lately, I’ve realized that my traditional line work feels more expressive and instinctive. With a pencil in hand, I can quickly capture emotions and personalities.

At the same time, I’ve been experimenting with digital color — enhancing my sketches, adding depth, and strengthening contrasts. In this example, I tested both warm and cool tones to see how they affect the way a character is perceived.

This blend allows me to combine two strengths:
✏️ The raw, lively gesture of traditional drawing
🎨 The richness and flexibility of digital color

I feel that this dialogue between the two techniques could become a strong visual signature in my work.
